डिजिटल धोखाधड़ी और साइबर घोटालों की बढ़ती संख्या के संदर्भ में, डिजिटल मीडिया साक्षरता महत्वपूर्ण है, साइबरपीस फाउंडेशन द्वारा शहर में आयोजित फर्स्ट रिस्पॉन्डर कार्यशाला में विशेषज्ञों ने जोर दिया, जो एक गैर-लाभकारी संस्था है जो साइबर अपराधों के खिलाफ लचीलापन बनाने के लिए काम करती है।
यह देखते हुए कि स्कैमिंग एक सोशल इंजीनियरिंग तकनीक है जिसमें अपराधी पीड़ित का फायदा उठाने के लिए भावनात्मक हेरफेर का उपयोग करता है, साइबर सुरक्षा प्रचारक अनिंदिता मिश्रा ने कहा कि किसी को स्कैम-बस्टर बनने के लिए सबसे पहले अपने मनोविज्ञान पर काम करने की जरूरत है।
“जब वे किसी पीड़ित बच्चे के लिए एक ‘लाइक’ के लिए आपसे अपील करते हैं और दावा करते हैं कि फेसबुक हर लाइक के लिए एक डॉलर का योगदान देगा, तो वे डेटा हार्वेस्टिंग कर रहे हैं। यह उनके लिए यह पहचानने का एक साधन है कि कौन सी असली आईडी है, कौन सी नकली आईडी है या कौन सा बॉट है, और तदनुसार लक्ष्य करें,” उसने कहा।
उन्होंने कहा, जबकि कई कारक, जैसे कि प्रलोभन, तात्कालिकता, विश्वसनीयता, अधिकार, शर्म, डर आदि, डिजिटल घोटालों को बढ़ावा देते हैं, बच्चों के मामले में, अपराधी अक्सर साथियों का दबाव होता है।

“हाल ही में हमने जो वायरल ट्रेंड देखा वह साड़ी चैलेंज था, जहां लोगों को अपने 10 दोस्तों को टैग करने के लिए कहा गया था। 10 जल्द ही सैकड़ों और हजारों में बदल गए। यह अपराधियों के लिए आईडी सूंघने और लोगों के नाम और क्रेडेंशियल जैसे विवरण ढूंढने का सही अवसर है। सुश्री मिश्रा ने कहा, टैग करना एक व्यक्तिगत पसंद है।
